We have another wonderful opportunity for you to work with Leo Rutherford.

The Sweat Lodge Ceremony is a very beautiful way to enter into the heart of the Earth.

It is a place where you can truly engage with the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water, in prayer for yourself and others. It is a time to go inward, honour the deep, to release into the stillness.

For those who are new to Sweatlodges, they are an ancient tribal cleansing process. The whole process is seen as 'sacred work' so as a group we will all be involved in preparing the sweatlodge on the existing wooden framework at Clophill. A wooden framework is covered in blankets to form a dark enclosure with one entrance and a firepit in thew middle. People sit in darkness around the pit wearing shorts/swimsuit/towels, To help bring healing, give prayers, connect with the other worlds and gain insight. Hot rocks are brought in and blessed with sage, symbolising the four directions of the manifest world, the Above and the Below and finally, the Creator, Wakantaka, All-That-Is 9by any and all names). With Leo's guidance we will be offering prayers for ourselves, then for others, give-aways and healing. There will be time for silent journeying to the land of power animals and finally chanting/singing to finish the Ceremony.

The sweatlodge will be the centre of the weekend and around it will be preparation of ourselves to focus our intention and on Sunday to work, through journeying, with what has been revealed.

The sweatldoge ceremony will take place on Saturday afternoon – evening and will complete at about 8/9pm will dinner. Sunday arrival at 9.30am and finish at 5 pm.
