The Singing Tree is a new beginning threaded into an old, old practise of community and belonging. As many of you may know, I run singing groups regularly but these are generally in the evenings and attended by adults. We sing old songs, new songs, medicine songs.
Some time ago I became aware that working with children, as I have for years, and working with adults were seperate strands of my passion for sound and connection so it feels like time to thread them together under the branches of one tree. The ancestral tree, the tree of life, the roots reaching down between us all.
I utilise the magic of the Talking Stick, encourage listening and sharing as well as opening doors to creative harmony through the voice. I will in the future also be holding space around the fire be that a fire pit or candlelight. There is profound healing in the circle and this is much needed for inter-generational well-being. I encourage the old and the young and everything in between. Let us sit together in circle and find what is present there! Bring your relatives, an elder, an uncle or an aunt, a neighbour...
The group will be held in the Roundhouse and occasionally outside on the field depending on weather conditions.
Family rate is £20 depending on number in group or £15 for one Adult and one child. I will try to stay flexible on cost.
